With Selekt LP12, you can discover more of the music within every record, from familiar favourites to newly added albums.
Positioned between Majik LP12 and the reference Klimax LP12, Selekt LP12 combines carefully matched Linn components in one complete system. It delivers greater detail, control, and musical involvement while preserving the modular design that allows every LP12 to evolve over time.
Its advanced motor control, rigid sub-chassis, precision tonearm, and moving-coil cartridge work together to support stable rotation, accurate tracking, and a more natural musical performance.
Selekt LP12 comprises:
Sondek LP12 turntable with Karousel bearing Lingo hybrid internal/external power supply Kore aluminium sub-chassis bonded to a machined-from-solid armboard Arko 7075-grade aluminium gimballed tonearm Kendo moving coil (MC) cartridge Trampolin suspended aluminium base board

Selekt LP12 sits between Majik LP12 and the reference Klimax LP12.
It combines higher-performance Linn components in one carefully matched turntable. As a result, it delivers greater detail, control, and musical involvement while keeping the modular design of every Sondek LP12.
Lingo manages platter speed. Kore creates a rigid foundation for the bearing and tonearm. Meanwhile, Arko and Kendo work together to retrieve fine information from the record groove.
Karousel supports stable rotation, while Trampolin helps isolate the turntable from outside vibration.
Together, these parts create a complete LP12 system with a clear path for future upgrades.
Lingo combines internal control circuitry with a compact external power supply.
It uses digital processing to monitor platter speed during every rotation. It also calibrates the motor each time the turntable starts.
Therefore, Lingo helps maintain stable pitch and consistent timing.
It supports both 33⅓ and 45 rpm. As a result, users can change speed without using a separate adaptor.
Kore provides a rigid platform for the bearing and tonearm.
Its aluminium sub-chassis uses three bonded layers of 1.5 mm aluminium. Meanwhile, Linn machines the armboard from a solid piece of aluminium.
The armboard bonds directly to the sub-chassis. Therefore, both parts work as one firm structure.
This creates a stable relationship between the platter and tonearm. As a result, the cartridge can track the groove with greater accuracy.
Arko is the tonearm fitted to Selekt LP12.
Linn uses 7075-grade aluminium throughout the headshell, arm tube, and gimbal. This creates consistent mechanical behavior across the complete arm.
The arm tube uses cold-drawn aluminium made to tight tolerances. In addition, the headshell includes weight-reduction pockets to lower moving mass.
Arko also features a stainless-steel counterweight and a polished through-spindle.
Together, these parts provide stable alignment, low-friction movement, and accurate tracking.
Kendo is the moving-coil cartridge supplied with Selekt LP12.
Its nickel-coated body uses the same 7075-grade aluminium found in the Arko tonearm. Therefore, the cartridge and arm share similar mechanical behavior.
A low-mass boron cantilever carries a super-fine-line diamond stylus. This allows Kendo to follow small groove movements with high precision.
The cartridge also uses aluminium-bronze threaded inserts and a three-point mounting system.
As a result, Kendo combines accurate alignment with strong mechanical stability.
Karousel forms the connection between the platter, spindle, and sub-chassis.
It uses a stainless-steel housing and a substantial locknut. This creates a stronger and more stable connection to the sub-chassis.
Linn also strengthened the thrust-pad housing. Therefore, the bearing provides better support for the platter’s weight and rotation.
The result is smoother movement and lower mechanical interference.
Trampolin provides the lower foundation of Selekt LP12.
Its aluminium baseboard attaches directly to the wooden plinth. Suspended feet and acoustic damping then help isolate the turntable from its supporting surface.
This reduces vibration from furniture, flooring, and nearby equipment.
As a result, the stylus can focus more clearly on the information stored in the groove.
Linn makes its standard LP12 plinths from kiln-dried hardwood.
Customers can choose between smooth and fluted designs. The fluted option recalls the appearance of early Sondek LP12 models.
Standard finishes include oak, cherry, black ash, rosenut, and walnut.
Linn also offers Piano Black, Alpine White, high-gloss wood finishes, and custom RAL colours.
For higher performance, customers can also select the optional Bedrok plinth.
Selekt LP12 combines motor control, mechanical stability, and accurate groove tracking in one balanced configuration.
Lingo controls the motor. Kore supports the bearing and tonearm. Arko and Kendo form a carefully matched tracking system.
Karousel provides stable rotation, while Trampolin reduces outside vibration.
Because the LP12 remains modular, owners can upgrade individual parts in the future without replacing the complete turntable.
