Linn 360 represents the pinnacle of Linn loudspeaker design — a fully integrated Exakt flagship system engineered to reproduce music with extraordinary clarity, realism, scale, and exceptionally low audible distortion.
The goal behind 360 is simple but ambitious: remove the sense that you are listening to loudspeakers at all. Its carefully shaped cabinet, advanced drive units, digital crossover architecture, amplification, and precision signal processing work together to create an expansive and natural soundstage. Vocals appear suspended in space, instruments occupy their own positions with convincing depth and scale, and the physical presence of the loudspeakers seems to disappear into the performance.
The 360 Exakt Integrated version takes this concept to its highest level. Exakt processing, Organik digital-to-analogue conversion, dedicated amplification, Linn’s Pistonik-equipped low-frequency drive units, Adaptive Bias Control, and Power DAC technology are all integrated within the loudspeaker system.
360 Exakt is a fully integrated, four-way, five-driver loudspeaker designed specifically for operation within a Linn Exakt system.
Rather than relying on a conventional passive crossover and external power amplifier, Linn keeps the signal in the digital domain for as long as possible. The Exakt Engine provides an extremely precise digital crossover while correcting both phase and amplitude behavior, allowing each drive unit to receive a signal specifically optimized for its role.
Individual drive-unit variation can also be compensated for digitally, helping each loudspeaker perform consistently to Linn’s intended specification.
For the 360 Array, digital-to-analogue conversion is handled by three Organik DACs, with individual conversion provided for the relevant frequency bands before the signal reaches the dedicated onboard amplification.
Organik is Linn’s proprietary digital-to-analogue conversion architecture and represents the company’s reference approach to digital audio reproduction.
Developed entirely in-house, Organik gives Linn greater control over the complete digital-to-analogue signal path. Within 360 Exakt, Organik conversion works together with Exakt processing and dedicated amplification to preserve extremely fine musical information while maintaining exceptionally low noise and distortion.
The result is greater transparency, resolution, and realism without sacrificing the natural flow or emotional character of the recording.
The 360 Array handles the critical musical range above approximately 100 Hz and combines the tweeter, midrange, and upper-bass sections into a highly controlled system.
The 19 mm tweeter uses an advanced thin-ply woven carbon-fiber dome designed for exceptional rigidity with extremely low moving mass. Its resonant behavior is pushed far beyond its intended operating range, allowing the high frequencies to remain clean, open, and transparent.
The 64 mm midrange dome uses the same advanced thin-ply woven carbon-fiber material. Its combination of low mass and high stiffness allows unwanted resonances and distortion to be pushed well above its working frequency range.
Together with the upper-bass driver, these units form the 360 Array. The surrounding precision-machined 5754-grade aluminum trim is not merely decorative; it incorporates carefully developed waveguide geometry that contributes to the controlled dispersion of the drive units.
At the heart of the Linn 360’s low-frequency performance is Linn’s advanced Pistonik motor system, incorporated into the upper-bass and lower-bass drive units.
Pistonik is engineered to produce exceptionally linear force throughout the drive unit’s entire range of in-and-out movement. Its long-stroke motor topology and specially extended magnet gap are designed to maintain precise control across an exceptionally wide excursion range.
Major innovations throughout the Pistonik design address the magnetic, mechanical, and thermal factors that can compromise linearity. Integrated into the 360, the system allows the low-frequency drive units to move substantial volumes of air with exceptional control, helping deliver powerful, accurate bass with dramatically reduced distortion.
The Pistonik motor system is partnered with a specially developed suspension designed to remain controlled and linear throughout the drive unit’s excursion. Advanced multi-physics simulation informed a bespoke suspension that stiffens rapidly and predictably as it approaches maximum excursion, maintaining control even under demanding conditions.
Both the upper-bass and lower-bass drive units use hard aluminium diaphragms. Aluminium combines strength, rigidity, and low mass, helping move unwanted break-up behavior beyond the drivers’ operating ranges while improving efficiency. Careful optimization of the connection between the diaphragm, surround, and Pistonik motor system further controls resonance and contributes to the exceptionally clean low-frequency performance of the 360.
A motor system capable of such extensive linear movement requires a suspension engineered specifically to complement it.
Linn used advanced multi-physics simulation to develop the suspension system used with the new drive units. It remains controlled and predictable throughout the driver’s normal operating range, then increases stiffness rapidly as the unit approaches the limit of its excursion.
This allows the driver to exploit an unusually wide range of movement while maintaining control and protecting the system when reproducing extreme low-frequency information.
The motor, diaphragm, surround, suspension, and associated structures therefore operate as a complete system rather than as isolated components.
The new Pistonik-equipped upper-bass and woofer drive units use rigid aluminum diaphragms.
Aluminum combines high stiffness with relatively low mass, allowing Linn to move diaphragm break-up behavior well above the intended operating range while keeping the moving assembly efficient and responsive.
Careful optimization of the connection between the diaphragm, surround, and Pistonik motor further controls resonance and helps preserve linearity.
These refinements allow the low-frequency drivers to move substantial volumes of air while remaining tightly controlled — an essential part of the 360’s ability to reproduce powerful bass without allowing the character of the drive units themselves to become audible.
The tweeter, midrange, and upper-bass sections of the 360 Exakt are each driven by amplification optimized specifically for their respective drive units.
Linn’s Adaptive Bias Control technology continuously monitors and dynamically manages amplifier operation in real time. By actively correcting amplifier behavior, the system reduces distortion and keeps the amplification operating closer to its optimum state across different musical material, listening levels, and operating conditions.
Linn reports an improvement in signal-to-noise performance of approximately 15 dB compared with a conventional approach in this application.
The Bass System within Linn 360 combines Power DAC technology with Linn’s Pistonik motor system to deliver low-frequency performance with exceptional impact, efficiency, control, and dramatically reduced distortion.
Power DAC combines digital-to-analogue conversion and amplification into a single stage. By extending the digital signal path and minimizing unnecessary signal loss, it provides a highly efficient, ultra-low-noise platform for driving the 360’s lower-bass system.
Combined with the exceptionally linear excursion of Linn’s Pistonik-equipped drive units, the Bass System is capable of moving substantial volumes of air while maintaining precise control. The result is deep, realistic, powerful bass designed to preserve the scale and impact of the original performance without introducing unwanted sonic coloration.

This purpose-built amplification allows Linn to optimize the electronics for the exact electrical and mechanical requirements of the individual drive units instead of designing the speaker around the compromises of an unknown external amplifier.
Combined with Organik DAC, Exakt processing, Adaptive Bias Control, and Power DAC technology, the result is a completely integrated signal path from digital source to acoustic output.
The sculpted form of 360 is driven by acoustic requirements rather than styling alone.
Its exceptionally rigid cabinet is constructed using carefully formed 3D laminated material, allowing Linn to create a continuously curved front baffle that wraps elegantly around the sides of the loudspeaker.
The cabinet gradually tapers from bottom to top, with the radius surrounding each drive unit shaped according to the dispersion requirements of that particular frequency range. The drivers sit flush against the smooth front surface, reducing physical obstruction around them and allowing sound to disperse more naturally into the room.
The result is exceptionally consistent tonality across a wide listening area, helping reinforce the size, depth, and stability of the reproduced soundstage.
The aluminum trim surrounding the 360 Array also acts as part of the acoustic design, using integrated waveguide geometry to manage the interaction between the drivers and surrounding cabinet.
360 is designed to make a visual statement equal to its technological one.
The curvaceous cabinet is complemented by intricately machined aluminum detailing. Concentric arcs are machined into the 360 Array trim, visually referencing the grooves of a vinyl record and paying tribute to Linn’s heritage and the Sondek LP12 turntable upon which the company was founded.
The trim is machined from 5754-grade aluminum and is available in a choice of anodized black or silver, allowing the detailing of each loudspeaker to be coordinated with the selected cabinet finish.

The natural Walnut veneer was added to the 360 range in 2026 following extensive development to successfully apply real wood veneer across the cabinet’s complex three-dimensional curves.
Customers may select either black or silver anodized machined-aluminum drive unit trim, and Linn also continues to offer custom-color ordering for those seeking a more individualized finish.
The Linn 360 Exakt is a fully integrated loudspeaker with built-in Exakt technology, eliminating the need for external amplification or an external Exaktbox.
The 360 Array is driven by Class AB amplification with Adaptive Bias Control, while the Bass System uses Linn’s Power DAC and Pistonik motor system.
Adaptive Bias Control dynamically manages and corrects amplifier behavior in real time, allowing the amplification used for the tweeter, midrange, and upper-bass sections to operate optimally across different listening levels and musical material.
