All cables in the D-TC Supreme series – except for the power cords – need to be connected to the power supply of a PowerBox which provides separate Line/Digital, Phono or 14V (Speakz) outlets.
The PowerBox in an Ansuz D-TC system
All cables in the D-TC series – except for the power cords and speaker wires – need to be powered from a PowerBox from either the Line/Digital or Phono outlets.
The PowerBox in an Ansuz D2 system
All cables in the D2 series – except for the power cords – can optionally be powered from a PowerBox for best performance, from either the Line/Digital or Phono outlets.
To lower the disturbing noise level to an absolute minimum, Ansuz has endowed their PowerBoxes with further innovative and remarkably effective noise suppressing technologies. Higher quantities and the latest, even more advanced versions of the Ansuz Tesla Coils define the range of PowerBoxes starting from the Ansuz D2 up to our D-TC Supreme flagship model.
To have the most stable and clean power outlets, Ansuz put special emphasis on the design of the internal power supply. Available traditional designs with transformers turned out to be a dead end because of their disturbing vibrations and noise. So, Ansuz embarked on new ground with its design of their Resonance Mode power modules. They epitomize the latest, most sophisticated and state-ofthe–art internal power supply and are the most efficient and cleanest way to create low voltage. The design of the internal power supply is very akin to the power supply versions we use in our reference amplifier series: Aavik C, P & M 380.
The noise cancelling technologies inside the Ansuz PowerBoxes work hand in glove with all the technological innovations used in all the other Ansuz products like the Mainz8 Power Distributor – a mains and ground distribution unit – or the PowerSwitches for LAN network distribution. Through the mains network and the power cords, the effects of these technologies are able to unfold both up- and down-stream, and form a mutually re-enforcing alliance, when it comes to cleaning the audio data streaming from signal induced fluctuations and lowering the noise floor throughout the whole audio/video system.

ANSUZ NOISE SUPPRESSING TECHNOLOGIES
One of the key points that have been of main concern since the introduction of the first Ansuz Acoustics product have been to bring down the noise floor in any Audio/Video system – without harming the musicality, energy and dynamics. Something that cannot be done with traditional power conditioner designs.
At Ansuz we use different types of coil technologies to noise shape and suppress the noise by countermeasures. Those technologies are scalable, so the more of the different types of coils that are included in a system the lower the noise floor drops and the more darkness, dynamics and details you will experience. Another strong advantage of this technology is that it is also are able to “flow upstream”. For example, if you got an audio/video system with an Ansuz Mainz8 power/ground distributor and you add an Ansuz PowerBox to drive your active Ansuz cables, you will not only be able to get the best performance out of your cables -you will also improve the overall performance of the whole system because the noise cancellation on the mains side have improved a lot by the Mainz8 and the PowerBox working together to suppress noise.
In the Ansuz products you can find several different types of coils, depending on the type of noise that we want to suppress and how efficient we can make them when taking into account the physics and cost.
Ansuz Passive Tesla Coil technology (P-TC)
This is a passive noise suppressing element that rely on Mains spike noise cancellation. The way they work is to have a double inverted coil connected to the power conductors, when the P-TC dual coil encounters a voltage spike a counter spike is developed in the counter wound section of the P-TC coil. As Noise spikes are pure voltage and carries virtually no charge, the cancelation is quite good, but not 100%. By adding more P-TC coils in parallel the performance increases. And with that the perceived Blackness in the music improves significantly.
Ansuz Active Tesla Coil technology (A-TC)
This is an active noise suppressing element that rely on Mains spike noise cancellation. The way they work is to have a double inverted coil connected to the power conductors, when the A-TC dual coil encounters a voltage spike a counter spike is developed in the counter wound section of the A-TC coil. As Noise spikes are pure voltage and carries virtually no charge, the cancelation is quite good but not a 100%. By adding more A-TC coils in parallel the performance increases. And with that the perceived Blackness in the music improves significantly. The active version is about three to four times more efficient then Passive Tesla Coils.
Ansuz Active Cable Tesla Coil technology (AC-TC)
This is an active noise suppressing element that rely on Mains spike noise cancellation. The way they work is to have a double inverted coil connected to the power conductors, when the AC-TC dual coil encounters a voltage spike a counter spike is developed in the counter wound section of the AC-TC coil. As Noise spikes are pure voltage and carries virtually no charge, the cancelation is quite good, but not 100%. By adding more AC-TC coils in parallel the performance increases. And with that the perceived Blackness in the music improves significantly. So, AC-TC is similar to A-TC. But where the A-TC technology is mounted on the circuitry boards the AC-TC coils are mounted directly around the mains conductors to increase the effect even further.
Ansuz Active Square Tesla Coil technology (AS-TC)
This is an active noise suppressing element that rely on spike noise cancellation. The way they work is to have a double inverted coil connected to the power conductors, when the AS-TC dual coil encounters a voltage spike a counter spike is developed in the counter wound section of the AS-TC coil. As Noise spikes are pure voltage and carries virtually no charge, the cancelation is quite good, but not 100%. By adding more AS-TC coils in parallel the performance increases. And with that the perceived Blackness in the music improves significantly So, AS-TC is similar to A-TC. But where the A-TC technology is mounted on the circuitry boards the AS-TC coils are imbedded in the circuitry board itself. They are not as efficient as the top mounted coils, but they are very compact and more cost efficient.
Ansuz Analog Dither Technology (AD)
The Ansuz AD technology is responsible for the analog dither we use in a wide range of our product, The technology origins in radars where results to most engineers astonishment was better in live situations (in planes, on boats) than in stationary land fixed systems, They concluded that the vibration of the planes and ships aided the aided the radar and sonar performance.. Thus, was the idea of analog dithering born. The dither is added a very low-level random noise, by modulating the noise floor it’s possible to see what’s below it, and thus get a clearer picture of the full content of the recording.

Ansuz Anti Arial Resonance Coil Technology (AARC)
All cables and cable screens act like antennas, by fitting AARC in our cable structures we reduce the cables ability to absorb Airborne RF/EMI. In the old generation of GSM telephones, we heard the effect of airborne RF being modulated the “dikke-dit dikke-dit” sounds just prior to receiving a phone call, today this noise is even more present. Today the noise is not modulated in the same way, instead it takes on the character of a white haze, reducing the blackness and dynamics in the presentation. The mechanism of the Ansuz AARC technology is to make sure that the cable has no definitive length, that way the cable or internal wire can’t act as an antenna, thus no standing waves can be absorbed in the cable and bleed into your system.
Star Grounding Technology
Most manufactures of High-End cables and accessories have now realized how important it is to have a strong ground network in your system. At Ansuz this is another thing that have hade our attention from the start. All your components need one -and only one, star grounding point in which all components can exchange their different ground potential. This is built into all our Mainz8 power/ground distributors. Naturally, we make sure that this work at its best when wired up with Ansuz power cords. So, all our power cords have heavy gage ground leads, actually up to 10 mm3 – the strongest conductor in any of our cables.
With Ansuz mains/ground distributors and power cords there are no reason or need for separate grounding boxes and network.
Internal Resonance Control
One of the most dept felt philosophies at Ansuz are about mechanical grounding. Every component in an audio/video system vibrates and are sensitive to resonances. Vibrations comes from even the smallest transistor on a circuitry board to the biggest bass drives in loudspeakers. Isolation with soft materials like rubber is a bad idea. The rubber will at first absorb the vibration, but instance later release the energy back into the component. Now out of phase and timing. The result is resonances in your component.
With our Resonance control we offer the vibration a way out of the component by mechanically grounding. We call the solution Ansuz Darkz. They can be placed under nearly any component. The optimal result can be achieved by replacing standard feet with Ansuz Darkz Feet and then connection the Darkz Feet to Ansuz Darkz with Titanium or Ceramic balls.
All Ansuz Mainz8’s, PowerBoxes and PowerSwitches are standard fitted with Ansuz Darkz Feet for easy upgrade. Our two best Mainz8 power/ground distributors – D-TC & D-TC Supreme, even have Darkz build into the chassis to separate the acoustically tuned High Pressure Fiber Boards from the cabinet.
