Ansuz Y-Splitterz are purpose-engineered cable assemblies designed for loudspeakers with bi-wire terminals, providing a high-performance alternative to conventional metal jumpers. Ansuz Y-Splitterz were developed for loudspeakers equipped with bi-wire terminals, combining the convenience of a single speaker cable connection with a more carefully engineered link between the amplifier and the loudspeaker inputs.
In many bi-wire loudspeaker systems, conventional metal jumpers are used to connect the terminal sections together. Although simple and convenient, these jumpers become part of the signal path and may introduce additional resistance, resonance, or other unwanted influences into the connection.
Y-Splitterz replace these basic metal links with purpose-engineered cable assemblies designed to provide a more secure, low-loss connection. By placing greater emphasis on conductor quality, shielding, resonance control, and connector design, Ansuz aims to preserve signal integrity and reduce unwanted influences before the signal reaches the loudspeaker.
The Ansuz Y-Splitterz range is available in three versions: S3, C3, and T3. Each model follows the same overall design concept while incorporating different materials and resonance-control technologies.
The S3 uses silver-plated copper conductors surrounded by tin-coated copper mesh shielding. Its two output leads incorporate Ansuz Double Inverted Helix Coils, or DIHC, designed to help reduce unwanted noise within the signal path.
The connector housings are precision-machined from 316 stainless steel. In addition to providing mechanical strength and stability, the housing material is selected for its resonance-control properties, helping to limit mechanical influences that could affect signal transmission.
The C3 also uses silver-plated copper conductors with tin-coated copper mesh shielding. It advances the design through the use of two Ansuz Anti-Aerial Resonance Coils, or AARC, which are incorporated to provide enhanced noise reduction.
Its connector housings are made from copper. The material is used not only for its structural properties, but also as part of the overall approach to controlling resonance and reducing unwanted mechanical influences throughout the connection.
The T3 represents the upper level of the Y-Splitterz range and uses titanium connector housings. Titanium is selected for its mechanical characteristics and resonance-control capabilities, making the housing itself an active part of the overall design approach rather than simply an external enclosure.
As with the other Y-Splitterz models, the focus is on creating a controlled and stable connection between the speaker cable and the loudspeaker’s bi-wire terminals while minimizing unwanted influences on the transmitted signal.
Across the Y-Splitterz range, the connector housing, conductor design, shielding, and resonance-control technologies work together as part of a complete system.
